Instructions
- Ensure the corten steel surface has developed its stable rust layer before application. The surface must be dry, clean, and free from grease, loose particles, or dust.
- If necessary, remove loose rust with a soft brush and clean the surface with a dry cloth. Do not apply on wet steel.
- Stir the varnish thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency.
- Apply using a brush, roller, or spray system in a thin and even coat. Avoid overloading the surface to prevent drips or uneven gloss.
- Recommended dosage is approximately 100 ml per square meter, depending on the porosity and texture of the rusted surface.
- Coverage is up to 10 m² per liter per coat. For highly porous surfaces, slightly higher consumption may occur.
- Allow the first coat to dry for 4 to 6 hours depending on temperature and ventilation.
- For enhanced protection, especially outdoors, apply a second coat after the first coat has fully dried.
- Avoid exposure to rain or moisture for at least 24 hours after application to ensure proper curing.
- For maintenance, inspect annually and reapply if signs of wear or reduced protection appear.
